Why it’s Important to Volunteer

Here at Adobe Bluffs we cherish all our volunteers, whether you can give 5 hours out of the year or 100.  It makes a difference.  I recently read an article about why volunteering in your child’s school is important.  I’d like to share with you the top 5 reasons from the article:

  1. It takes a village – We could not run our programs and events without you
  2. A little goes a long way – Any amount of time you give is appreciated & makes a difference
  3. Everyone has something to offer – We need a variety of talents from administrative to technical
  4. Your child will benefit – You will be setting a great example and your child will love to see you helping
  5. You’ll feel good – It is very rewarding to see everyone’s appreciation, especially the students

It can be challenging finding the time, but it will enrich you and your child’s life.  Whether you are a working parent, a parent with young children, or just a busy parent, we can help you find a way to volunteer.

To get started, fill out the gold Volunteer form that was sent home in your child’s red folder or click here and return it to school.  For any questions, please contact Brenda Rodriguez Romero, VP of Volunteers, at abesvolunteers@gmail.com
