With much Appreciation………

February was a busy month. We want to send a special thank you to all the chairs and volunteers who made our events such a success. We appreciate all your time and effort. We would like to especially thank the following individuals:

Nicole Stanton – chair of Author’s Fair

Brenda Rodriguez-Romero & Lisa Sieck – Co-chairs of the Talent Show

Rebecca Cardosa – chair of Science Day

Kim Knott – chair of Dad’s Breakfast

Amie Butman – coordination of hospitality for Author’s Fair and Science Day

Alan & Caroline DeWeese – coordination of the installation of our new sound system

These events would not be successful without the generous financial support of our Adobe Bluffs Families. We are grateful to all who have contributed.

We need your input!! - Evening LCAP Forum - February 28th

An evening LCAP forum has been added for those parents who were unable to attend the morning session.  Please join Mr. Park on Tuesday, February 28th at 6pm in the MPR.  The purpose of this forum is to give parents the opportunity to communicate how they would like to see the funds spent at a district and school level.  Parent feedback has an impact on how the funds are allocated to our schools.  We look forward to seeing you there.

Run2Play Health Fitness Day - March 9th

The Foundation & PTA are teaming up to create a great new event at Adobe Bluffs.  We are combining the annual Run2Play and the annual AB Games to make a great event that focuses on and provides a morning of physical fitness, fun and education for the kids while fundraising for the Foundation.  Education is an important piece to this day, but this event remains a significant Foundation fundraising event.  The Foundation funds so many "extras" for our school, enabling our students to have many opportunities that may otherwise be nonexistent.  You will be receiving more information soon about how you can provide fundraising support.  Please remember that your donation is tax deductible and please check with your employer to see if they will match your donation.  If you have questions about donations, contact KC Hellenkamp at helly15@aol.com.  Please plan to join us for this exciting event!  There are many opportunities to volunteer on the day of the event or to help prior to the event.  If you are interested in volunteering, contact Krista Stephenson at kristas1103@yahoo.com.

Learn about keeping your kids safe on the Internet March 9th at 5:30pm in the MPR

We would like to invite Adobe Bluffs’ parents and family members to attend a presentation by Lisa Ringel with the San Diego Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force. She will be giving a very informative presentation on Internet Safety. The content of this presentation is for adults only and we ask that children not attend this event. Dinner will be provided.
