Pizza Night - September 21st from 5:30-7:30pm

Get ready for Pizza Night on September 21st from 5:30-7:30pm!  An awesome night for all AB families!

Here's what to do :

• Look in your student's red folder for an order form and order your pizzas.

• Pay by cash, check, or online using PayPal at http://abesfoundation.org

• Come to the Adobe Bluffs MPR and your student's teacher will deliver the pizza to you!  The kids love this aspect and it is a great way to get to know your child's teacher.

• Enjoy the pizza, and then join the dance party in the MPR and check out the book fair.

It's a delicious and fun way to fundraise!  The teachers can't wait to see you and their students there!

Scholastic Book Fair Is Open Sept 18 to Sept 22nd

 Our Scholastic Book Fair opens Monday at 9am in Room 12. Parents and students are welcome to come shop for books during the hours listed below:

Shopping hours:

• Monday 9:00am to 2:45pm

• Tuesday 7:30am to 2:45pm

• Wednesday 9:00am to 2:45pm

• Thursday 7:30am to 1:30pm and 5:30pm to 7:30pm

• Friday 7:30am to 2:45pm

Join us for the “Stampede to Read” event on Thursday evening from 5:30 to 7:30pm in conjunction with the Foundation’s Pizza night.

Odyssey_of_the_Mind

Odyssey of the Mind Info Session Wednesday, Sept 27th at 5:30-6:00

Come and learn about the largest creative problem solving competition in the world!  Who should attend?  Parents of kids that like to tinker, build, create skits, make treasure from trash, work as a team and have fun while learning.  Kids welcome to attend!  Watch this video created by the Black Mountain Middle team or go to Odyssey of the Mind to learn more.  Email AB Odyssey Coordinator, Ami Lau at ami_lau@yahoo.com with any questions.  Download the interest form here and turn it into the PTA box in the office by Wed. PTA Association Meeting – Wednesday September 27

5:30 to 6:30 there will be Site Council Presentation by Mr. Park and an informational presentation for Odyssey of the Mind by Ami Lau

6:30 to 7:30 will be the PTA Association meeting.  Everyone is invited to attend.  We hope to see you there.

Dinner will be provided starting at 5:30.

PUSD Public Hearings for By-Area Board of Trustee Elections

The School District wants your input about the process of creating the election districts for the school board. If you go to the PUSD website there is an interactive map where you can create your own boundaries and submit them for consideration by the Board.

Traffic Circle Volunteers Needed!

Looking for a way to get involved but have limited time?  Traffic Circle is a great opportunity! 

 We are looking for volunteers from 7:20-7:45 one day a week (or every other week) to help students from their cars at drop off.   It’s a fun way to interact with students and parents while keeping our kids safe and traffic flowing.
