2017-2018 Season

Once again we’re proud to present another great year of exploring STEAM (science, technology, engineering, art and math) through the power of LEGOs!
 
Fall LEGO Club
For grades 1 – 5
Ready to build LEGO volcanoes, robots and racers?  Each week students choose between creative free building with tons of LEGOs or informal projects and challenges using wide range of LEGO Educational kits.
 
Fall Session:  Friday 9/8 – 11/3 @ 2:10 – 3:30 pm
Cost:  Requested donation of $40 for full 8 class session 
 
Winter Junior First LEGO League
For grades 1 – 5
Join a team of up to 4 other students to explore a theme aligned with this years challenge:  Aqua Adventure.  You’ll work together to design, build and program a motorized model using LEGO WEDO® components, and showcare your awesome work at  Jr FLL Expo.
 
Along the way you’ll have the opportunity to attend 3 optional field trips:
 
–   A VIP Show & Splash bus tour with the Water Authority Board on Thursday 9/28, from 1 – 3.  http://www.sdcwa.org/assemblies-mobile-splash-lab
 
–   A tour of the San Diego Pure Water Facility on Thursday 11/2, from 1 – 2  https://apps.sandiego.gov/ereg/purewatersd/courses.php?grp=public
 
–   A  Robotics workshop at LEGO Land (with access to the rest of the park during the rest of the day) on Friday 11/10 
 
Winter Season:  Fridays 2:10 – 3:35, 11/17 – 2/2 + 3 optional field trips on 9/27, 11/2 & 11/10
Cost:  Requested donation of $75 for full 8 class session + Optional Field Trip Fees 
 
Spring First LEGO League
For grades 4 – 5

Work with a partner to design, build and program a robot using LEGO MINDSTORMS® , then compete on a table-top playing field.
 
Spring Season:  Fridays 2:10 – 4:00, 3/2 – 5/11
Cost:  Requested donation of $75 for full 10 class session
